Presentation: Intellectual Property Protection in China

In the afternoon, August 14, Mr. Wu, Qiufa, the managing partner of Shanghai Promise Law Firm made a presentation about Chinese intellectual property protection for the foreign interns. Mr. Wu introduced Chinese IP legal system, the evolution of Chinese IP laws, and then compared Chinese IP protection with the counterparts in the western world; furthermore Mr. Wu analyzed several latest IP cases in China.

After the 40-minute speech, Mr. Wu answered dozens of questions of interns in relation to IP protection in China.

The intern students come from USA, UK, France and Hong Kong, who will have placement in Shanghai Promise Law Firm for one month. It appears that they are quite interested in Chinese IP protection and they commented Mr. Wu.s presentation insightful and of much help.
